The Babolat pickleball paddle range

Babolat keeps things simple with five purpose-built paddles that cover the journey from your first sessions to competitive power play. Here's what each one offers.

Babolat XPLR

The entry point and the most forgiving paddle in the range. A Babolat XPLR pairs a lively fiberglass face with a thin 13 mm core for easy pop and effortless depth, while its standard shape and light, quick feel make it ideal for newer and improving players building consistency at the net.

Babolat RNGD

The all-court control option. The Babolat RNGD uses a textured carbon fiber face over a thicker 16 mm core for a firm, connected feel with grippy spin and a stable, planted response. Its standard shape keeps the sweet spot generous, making it a natural fit for intermediate players who build points with placement.

Babolat RBEL

The spin-and-reach specialist. The Babolat RBEL combines a raw carbon face with an elongated shape and a longer 5.5-inch handle, delivering extra leverage on overheads and passing shots plus strong, deliberate spin. It rewards clean technique with firm, direct feedback, suiting aggressive players who like to drive.

Babolat MNSTR and MNSTR+

The power pair, both built around a carbon face and a thick 16 mm core for plow-through and stability. The Babolat MNSTR keeps a standard shape for a more manageable sweet spot, while the heavier, elongated Babolat MNSTR+ adds reach and extra mass for the most commanding, drive-focused feel in the range.

How to choose your Babolat paddle

By experience level

Beginners should start with the forgiving, fiberglass-faced XPLR. Intermediate players who want spin and control will get the most from the RNGD. Advanced and aggressive players tend to prefer the spin-heavy RBEL or the powerful MNSTR models.

Standard or elongated?

The XPLR, RNGD, and MNSTR have a standard shape with a larger, more forgiving sweet spot and a 5-inch grip. The RBEL and MNSTR+ are elongated, trading some sweet spot for added reach and leverage, and come with a longer 5.5-inch handle that leaves room for a two-handed backhand. Choose standard for forgiveness and control, elongated for reach and power.

Tournament-ready

Every Babolat paddle in our range is USA Pickleball Approved, so whichever model you choose is eligible for sanctioned competition as well as casual play.

Frequently asked questions about Babolat paddles

Are Babolat pickleball paddles approved for tournaments?

Yes. Every Babolat paddle in our range — the XPLR, RNGD, RBEL, MNSTR, and MNSTR+ — is USA Pickleball Approved, making them eligible for sanctioned competition.

Which Babolat paddle is best for beginners?

The Babolat XPLR is the best starting point. Its forgiving fiberglass face, light feel, and standard shape deliver easy power and a large sweet spot, helping newer players keep rallies going while developing technique.

What's the difference between the MNSTR and MNSTR+?

Both are power-oriented paddles with a carbon face and a 16 mm core. The MNSTR has a standard shape with a more forgiving sweet spot, while the MNSTR+ is elongated and slightly heavier, adding reach and extra plow-through for a more commanding feel.

Does Babolat make good pickleball paddles?

Babolat is a French brand with over a century of racket-sport experience in tennis and padel, and it has applied that engineering know-how to a well-rounded pickleball range. The line-up covers everything from forgiving beginner paddles to spin- and power-focused models for advanced players.

Should I choose a standard or elongated Babolat paddle?

Pick a standard shape (XPLR, RNGD, MNSTR) for a larger sweet spot, easier handling, and more forgiveness. Pick an elongated shape (RBEL, MNSTR+) for extra reach and leverage on drives and overheads, along with a longer handle suited to a two-handed backhand.
